Healthy nutrition across MNG
Balanced meals, positive routines and individual dietary support across nursery settings.
At Monmouthshire Nursery Group, healthy nutrition is fundamental to children's growth, development and wellbeing. The early years are a crucial time for establishing positive eating habits.
Across our nursery settings, children are offered healthy snacks twice a day, alongside a nourishing lunch and tea. Menus are carefully planned to provide wholesome foods including fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy, protein-rich foods and healthy carbohydrates.
Every child is unique, and staff work closely with parents and carers to ensure individual dietary, cultural, religious and medical requirements are fully supported.
Meal times are viewed as an important part of the learning experience, encouraging independence, social skills, confidence around food and learning to eat with cutlery.
